Behind the scenes at the Gossypium Photo Shoot

Written by Hanri Shaw on June 24 2014

On a sunny morning in East Sussex, four yoga teachers, two photographers with their dog and a make-up artist, along with Thomas the founder of Gossypium, headed out to the Big Sky Tipi Campsite near Eastbourne.

Outfits were ready and prepared on hangers by Hanri our main photographer whilst Steve, the second photographer and his dog Chunk scoured the campsite for good backdrops. Whilst some of the yoga teachers warmed up on the outdoor platform, Laura Ward our make-up artist started hair and make-up in one of the tipis. Once we had our fun selecting from the choice of colours and styled of Gossypium clothing, the outfits were finished off with beautiful jewellery loaned to us by the talented jewellery designer Katie Weiner.

Once warmed up, our yoga teachers Emma Newlyn, Ginny Haswell, Tiffany Mendel and Helena Skoog were put into position by our photographer and yoga teacher, Hanri Shaw.

Five hours later and after a couple of changes of outfits our yoga teachers were well and truly stretched whilst the cameras clicked away. So we called it a day... and we are so pleased with how the images turned out. As a small and ethically focused business, we at Gossypium we are proud to have our brand represented by real yoga teachers, photographed locally by a yoga teacher/photographer.

We hope you enjoy the new photographs as they make an appearance on our website and in our newsletters.
