Agrocel Pure & Fair Cotton

To meet the demand for a reliable Organic and Fairtrade cotton fibre, Agrocel Industries Limited, in conjunction with Vericott Ltd ( Gossypium is a brand owned by Vericott Ltd ) have defined and branded a cotton fibre: Agrocel® Pure & Fair Cotton.

Agrocel cotton is grown by small scale farmers to International Organic standarts ( GOTS ), and the farmers are grouped into a Farmers Association which follows the Fairtrade guideline. Agrocel cotton can thus be certified Organic and Fairtrade, but most importantly it is a high quality cotton, with full traceability back to the farms.

This direct relationship we have with Agrocel, since  it's founding in 1998, is the backbone of the Gossypium brand .

Agrocel, the company, is the brain child of a family of visionaries. Born with an inherent ability to transform the most demanding of circumstances into favorable enterprises, the Shroff Group of Companies are proud of their heritage as sons of the magnificent Rann (desert) of Kutch.

Agrocel co-ordinates organic fibre cultivation with a selected group of local farmers from its 16 rural service centers across India. A team of agronomists is based at each Agrocel service centre, and monitors growing to International Organic Standards.

The cotton is then sent by Agrocel to Gossypium selected suppliers to be turned into finished products and exported to the UK.
